web services FAQ: SSL
What Does SSL Mean And What Does It Do For Me?

SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer. Think of it as a secure connection between you and the InfoStar server.

Having an SSL allows you to send secure email via secure settings for your email program.

An SSL also allows you to make use of secure digital forms that InfoStar can provide.

For more information on SSL certificates, please feel free to call InfoStar at 916-988-2323 and ask what additional services become available.

Can InfoStar Provide SSL Certificates?

If you are using a service that requires a secure connection (i.e. Digital Forms, Secure Email, etc.) then InfoStar can provide access to an SSL certificate that is installed on the server.

You will be sent new settings (if applicable) for anything that might use the SSL such as email.
