My history at InfoStar
I joined InfoStar as a high-school sophomore in 2002.
My grandfather, Greg Sconce, founded InfoStar Productions LLC in 1993 around dental patient-education software. InfoStar was expanding into websites when I joined, and I taught myself web design and code while I built them after school.
I also helped develop SideKick, InfoStar Productions’ chairside dental patient-education software. When Grandpa demonstrated it at dental trade shows, he sent me questions and feedback from dentists. I worked on those changes so later demonstrations could include them.
I later established InfoStar’s SEO and social media departments. In 2018, when Grandpa retired, I acquired InfoStar Productions and became its president and owner.
My role today
I work directly with clients and the specialists responsible for their projects.
I participate in early project conversations and proposals so I understand what a client wants InfoStar to accomplish. I help connect that need to the designer, developer, marketer, or support specialist responsible for the work.
My experience across websites, software, search, and social media helps me see how one decision can affect another. Our specialists perform the work in their areas and explain their recommendations directly. I help with decisions and make sure the right people are involved.
I remain available to every client. They can call or text me with a question, concern, or new idea. If someone else at InfoStar is best suited to answer or complete the work, I bring that person into the conversation and stay informed.
Why I enjoy the work
I enjoy getting to know our clients and helping their businesses.
I like learning how each client’s business works and getting to know the people responsible for it. That context helps me understand why a problem matters and what the client needs from us.
I value the partnerships that develop when we continue working together. I take personal satisfaction in seeing a website, marketing campaign, or custom system help a client reach customers, communicate more clearly, or improve an important process.
I have been here long enough to see clients’ needs change as their businesses grow. Being able to understand that history and help with the next need is one of the reasons I still enjoy this work.
